About Me

Professional portrait of Benson

Driven by Design

Growing up I have always been fascinated by automotive and aircraft design. Complicated mechanical systems, high velocities, discovering new locations, connecting the world. These are the things that intrigue me most.

This has led me to study mechanical engineering.

I'm currently pursuing opportunities in mechanical and aerodynamic design, CAD, and product development.

I WANT to design things that make an impact.

Education/Experience

I recently graduated from Boston University in May 2026 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering w/ an Aerospace Concentration.

My coursework and hands-on project experience have given me a strong foundation in aerodynamic and aircraft design, structural design, electronics, and manufacturing.

In addition to my ME skills, I have also focused heavily on leadership roles in projects as well as diversifying my engineering skill set through an ECE role in my senior design and website building (this portfolio). I believe that in this process, I have been able to learn faster and tackle Interdisciplinary challenges.

I had the opportunity to intern in Australia @ Akin Ai where I applied my engineering skills to improve robot home-assistance technology and observe firsthand how product development works in an industry setting.

Beyond Engineering

When I'm not designing, I'm usually staying active. I play pretty much any sport I can get into, whether that's basketball, tennis, volleyball, or something new entirely. Bodybuilding keeps me disciplined and focused outside of work. I am competitive, so these activities always give me something to improve on like setting a new gym PR or carrying the ball 260+ yards.

I also try to travel as much as I can. I like to explore the northeast as much as possible through road trips up to the mountains. I want to travel more internationally. So far I've made it to Vietnam, Australia, and New Zealand. I have sights for Europe in the future.
