Project Overview

To tackle the struggle of multitasking with a phone, I conceptualized and created a minimalistic phone holder that allows you to watch videos, video call, and read without the use of your hands.

Features
2 Viewing Angles:
The holder comes with 45° and 60° degree viewing angles for both portrait and landscape phone orientation.
3D Printable Design:
This design was made to be easily printed on any 3D printer by omitting supports, small details, and overhangs.
Material:
Red PLA
Inexpensive:
The production cost is estimated to be $1.46 per unit using 58.40g.
Quick:
The estimated time to print is 1 hr 42 min.

Dimensions: 3.3 x 5.3 x 2.7 in
Creation
Measurement:
An analog caliper was used to measure the dimensions of an iPhone 15 Pro Max. These values allowed for the design to fit some of the largest phones on the market without fail.
3D Model:
The sketch was created in SolidWorks. The cross section was sketched and extruded to the correct dimensions.
Production:
The phone holder was 3D printed on the cross section side to remove the need for supports and overhangs.
